On Thursday 20 August, Hauser & Wirth Menorca will host a presentation of Marcella Ciacci’s book, ‘The 99 Modern and Contemporary Art Centers’ (La Fábrica, 2025). The book will be introduced by Marcella Ciacci alongside journalist Yanko López.

‘The99’ is a book that presents the most influential modern and contemporary art centers around the world, as suggested by artists, curators, critics and insiders. It features both popular and overlooked spaces, tracing a journey for anyone willing to engage with a cultural experience shaped by art, architecture and context. Beyond the book, ‘The99’ operates as a cultural movement, with the mission of broadening access to the art world and closing the gap between artists and their public.

About Marcella Ciacci
Born in Panama, Marcella’s background is marked by a convergence of historical study, entrepreneurial initiative, and artistic sensitivity. After studying History and Italian at Georgetown University, in the United States, her life unfolded across Washington, D.C., New York, Milan, and Madrid, before she ultimately established her residence in Menorca. Her professional trajectory spans diplomatic work at the Italian Embassy in Madrid and entrepreneurial ventures in travel and gastronomy. Having visited nearly one hundred countries, Marcella now channels her accumulated experiences into artistic and cultural initiatives of international scope.
