Albert Solé ‧ FR ‧ 2018 ‧ 61 min ‧ E/S/Cat/F/e The painter, sculptor, printmaker and potter Joan Miró was one of the leading exponents of Surrealism and remains one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century. 35 years after his death, Miró has become a legend in the art world. His works have taken on a life outside of museums, and his influence is discernible in design and architecture. Via interviews with his grandson Joan Punyet and artists and craftspeople who worked with him, Miró emerges as an iconoclastic, fanatically hard-working artist. CinemArt is a film series presented by Hauser & Wirth in collaboration with Ciné Theatre Gstaad. A cinematic journey into the art world, this series offers unique views into the lives and work of significant international artists, including a selection connected to Hauser & Wirth’s programme. The selected documentaries and films feature artists and renowned art world figures including Jenny Holzer, Alberto Giacometti, Wilhelm Sasnal, Dieter Roth, Frida Khalo, Pablo Picasso, and Joan Miró.
