A congenial montage of countless, previously untapped visual and audio sources has created a one-of-a-kind chronicle of the visionary German artist Joseph Beuys. Directed by Andres Veiel, ‘Beuys’ is not a portrait in the common sense, but an intimate look at a human being, his art and his world of ideas. CinemArt is a film series presented by Hauser & Wirth in collaboration with the Cinéma Rex in Pontresina. A special programme open to the public will offer unique insights into the lives and work of significant international contemporary and modern artists, including a selection connected to Hauser & Wirth’s roster. This cinematic programme is centred around Hauser & Wirth St. Moritz’s current exhibition ‘Material Actions’ and will primarily focus on female artists from the exhibition, such as Ida Applebroog and Jenny Holzer. Other featured artists and well-known personalities from the art world include Eva Hesse and Peggy Guggenheim.
