Join us for a family-friendly, nature-inspired creative workshop with Wild Joy as part of our event series, ‘How Gardens Shape Us,’ at Hauser & Wirth Somerset.
Taking place in the Cloister Courtyard, families are invited to build bug hotels and sculpt clay bugs using foraged and natural materials. This playful, hands-on session is designed to spark curiosity about the tiny creatures that share our gardens and wild spaces. Children will create their own bug-friendly habitat to take home, along with their unique clay bug creations.
Suitable for ages 3 years and above. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
All materials will be provided.
Tickets are free, but we welcome donations to our 2026 – 2027 charity partner. Although this is a drop-in workshop, we ask that you book in advance to help us understand visitor numbers.
The garden will be open to visitors from 10 am, with the gallery opening at 12 pm. Farm Shop will be serving coffees, pastries and sandwiches from 9 am. Da Costa will be taking lunch reservations from 12 pm.
This workshop coincides with a Sound Bath with Healing Tones in the Radić Pavilion.
About Wild Joy
Co-founded by Somerset-based Grace Burrows and Hannah Doe, Wild Joy centers on a shared belief that being outside improves children’s moods, nurtures their creativity and imagination, and allows us all to connect with one another and the world around us. Their workshops and craft packs aim to inspire children to get outside, play in nature and fall in love with the world around them. Grace Burrows works for two eco-focused start ups and Hannah Doe is a forest school teacher and runs her own kids clothing range, Wolf Kind. They both believe in the power of learning through nature.
