His life-sized figures are delicate as well as emaciated and seem out of this world. It is almost as though the filigree works’ heavy pedestals were calling them back to the iron reality of the material world and keeping them from disappearing to some other sphere. Charles de Lartigue’s film explores this ethereal quality of the world-famous artist. CinemArt is a film series presented by Hauser & Wirth in collaboration with Cinéma Rex Pontresina. A cinematic journey into the art world, this series offers unique views into the lives and work of significant international artists, including a selection connected to Hauser & Wirth’s programme.
