Summer Party

Sat 13 Jul, 11 am – 10.30 pm Sun 14 Jul, 11 am – 4 pm Our much-anticipated weekend of festivities returns this summer. With musical performances, a vintage fairground and a whole host of celebratory activities and workshops to get involved in, there will be something for all the family. Roth Bar & Grill will be serving a wood-fired feast from the Outdoor Kitchen, and local suppliers will be offering their delicious local produce all weekend. – Live music – Theatre entertainment – Vintage fairground – Saturday night party – Local food and drink stalls – Collaborative artwork and activities Entry is £5, and free for under 12s. All proceeds go to Bruton Primary School PSA.  

If you are aged between 3 – 16 years old, collect things and live in Bruton or the surrounding area enter our Quirky Collections competition:

To enter the competition, your collection must fit inside a shoebox. If you collect objects that are too big, think of imaginative ways to represent them in a shoebox, e.g. photograph them or make miniature models.

There will be prizes for all submissions with first prizes going to the most unusual and the best displayed collections. All entries will be shown in a special exhibition during the Summer Party. All entries must be delivered to Hauser & Wirth Somerset by 5pm on Monday 8 July.

‘Unconscious Landscape. Works from the Ursula Hauser Collection’ continues throughout the weekend, 10 am – 5 pm. The exhibition spans all five galleries in Somerset, presenting 65 works by female artists and artists’ estates including Louise Bourgeois, Heidi Bucher, Sonia Gomes, Eva Hesse, Sheila Hicks, Maria Lassnig, Lee Lozano, Meret Oppenheim, Carol Rama, Sylvia Sleigh and Alina Szapocznikow.
