A Luta Continua,’ from June to July, Hauser & Wirth presents a series of film screenings, introducing the significant artists in the collection and in art history. ‘Europe after the Rain’ (from the painting by the same name, Max Ernst [1941]) is a documentary by journalist-filmmaker Mick Gold that examines Dada and Surrealism not simply as modern movements in the arts, but also as a history of ideas - emphasising the desire to unify political and psychological values with artistic creativity. ‘Dada thrives on contradictions.
