Piet Oudolf: Open Field is an exhibition that showcases internationally-renowned landscape designer, Piet Oudolf’s planting designs, including maps and drawings. Landscape architect, lecturer and writer, Noel Kingsbury has co-written several books with Piet Oudolf and is giving a talk on their approaches to planting design. In this talk, he will share his knowledge of perennials and will offer a unique insight into Oudolf’s creative working process. Books co-written by Noel Kingsbury and Piet Oudolf include; Designing with Plants and Planting Design (1999), Planting Design: Gardens in Time and Space (2005), Planting: A New Perspective (2013) and Landscape in Landscapes (2011). Kingsbury also writes for Gardens Illustrated, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Garden, Hortus, The New York Times and many other publications. In 2009, he was awarded a doctorate for his research on long-term perennial planting at Sheffield University. This event has now sold out
