Family Saturday: THE BIG DRAW

Hauser & Wirth Somerset invites families into the gallery for Family Saturdays on the first Saturday of every month, from 10 am – 12 pm. These free sessions offer families a unique experience of art, design and nature. This special event for THE BIG DRAW invites children and their families to take part in special drawing activities. We will be mapping and documenting the rural landscape at Durslade Farm, encouraging children to explore and look beyond what they instantly recognise; using systems to account for things that they don’t usually notice. This will provide a direct interpretation of this year’s Big Draw theme: It’s Our World, which is a celebration of our environment – of urban and rural landscapes. Make sure you are dressed appropriately for exploring the landscape. For this special event we will run two sessions; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Family Saturdays are aimed at families with children aged 6-14 years, however younger children are welcome, supervised by parents / carers.
