Exhibition Tour

Join us for a tour of ‘Martin Creed. What You Find’ led by Hauser & Wirth Somerset Associate Director, Lucy MacDonald. The walking tour will lead guests through the galleries whilst discussing significant works in the exhibition. Martin Creed was born in Wakefield, England in 1968 and grew up in Glasgow. He lives and works in London and Alicudi, Italy. Creed has exhibited extensively worldwide and in 2001 he won the Turner Prize for ‘Work No. 227: The lights going on and off’. ‘Work No. 2630: UNDERSTANDING’, a 25-foot-tall rotating red neon work by Creed is currently on view at the Brooklyn Bridge Park, Pier 6 until 23 October 2016 in New York City, commissioned by Public Art Fund. Creed is currently exhibiting in New York’s Park Avenue Armory in an exhibition curated by Tom Eccles and Hans-Ulrich Obrist running from 8 June – 7 August 2016. On 8 July 2016, Martin Creed and his band will release a new album ‘Thoughts Lined Up’ through Telephone Records. This event is free, however booking is essential.
