Join us for a tour of Djordje Ozbolt. Brave New World led by Hauser & Wirth Somerset’s Head of Education, Debbie Hillyerd. The walking tour will lead guests through the galleries whilst discussing significant works in the exhibition. Hauser & Wirth Somerset is pleased to announce a new solo exhibition by Djordje Ozbolt, following the artist’s residency at The Maltings studios in Bruton from May 2016 to January 2017. The exhibition ‘Brave New World’ will feature an entirely new body of work created and conceived during his time in residency. The show’s title borrows its name from the 1932 science fiction cult classic by Aldous Huxley, and is a reminder of the notorious line from Shakespeare’s The Tempest – with both references rousing feelings of nostalgia and wonderment. Djordje Ozbolt is known for his playful subversion of history, memory, and contemporary culture, with ‘Brave New World’ being a development in both scale and ambition.
