Durslade Easter Escapade

This Easter, Hauser & Wirth Somerset and Roth Bar & Grill invite you to join us for two days of family fun. Children’s entertainers, The Flying Seagull Project will be hosting a varied programme of music, dance and games – their troupe of clowns, magicians, circus performers and musicians are guaranteed to bring laughter to Durslade. Local suppliers will be selling a variety of seasonal products, with stallholders holding fascinating demonstrations over the weekend. Learn about baking from Lievito Bakery, and candle making with The Good Honey Co, or drop-in to one of the Westcombe Dairydemonstrations to discover more about cheesemaking. Try our Durslade Farm cider and apple juice, or a raw milkshake from Mere Park Creamery, and sample fresh vinegars by Cult Ceramics. At Saskia’s Flower Essences stall you can learn how these wonderful flower essences are made and see the traditional copper alembic still in action. In the Farmyard The Crumpeteers will be serving up tasty treats, and in our Implement Shed you can pick-up a special gift and watch creative demonstrations by Handmade in Blighty, Barrington Pottery and Somerset Illustrations, or take part in the specially themed making activity run by our Education team. There will also be a face painting stand where you could get the chance to have your face painted on the day. The Roth Bar & Grill Outdoor Kitchen will be open from 12noon each day, serving a wood fired feast; Lamb asado, pickled cabbage, mint yogurt, brioche roll Chickpeas & wood roasted vegetables Children’s hot dogs Roth Bar & Grill will also be open for restaurant reservations – we advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
