Hauser & Wirth Somerset is delighted to announce a special opportunity for Arthaus to work with artists John Wood and Paul Harrison. Wood and Harrison started working together in 1991. Currently Bristol based, both artists studied at Bath School of Art. Collaboratively they make videos, drawings, prints and sculpture. The artists’ spare, to-the-point works often explore how human beings interact with everyday objects and their surrounding architecture. Taking their working methods as a starting point, ‘This Is The Plan’ will invite young people to be involved in a three day workshop in early April, followed by two days of filming. The outcome of which will be a film that will be displayed at Hauser & Wirth Somerset this Summer. Arthaus will be filming on 12 & 13 May 2018, 10 am – 4 pm. This workshop is for members of Arthaus, but there are some additional places available for new comers. Booking is essential, please email debbie@hauserwirth.com to register for your place. About Arthaus Arthaus is a group of young people, aged 15 – 19 years old, who are interested in learning more about art and architecture, and who wish to meet other people with similar interests. Arthaus meet on the first Wednesday of every month from 4.30 – 6 pm at Hauser & Wirth Somerset to share ideas and take part in special events, meeting world-class artists, art world professionals and like-minded individuals. As a member of Arthaus, you will gain experience of creative workshops, curation, public speaking and event planning, and will have the opportunity to attend events at Hauser & Wirth Somerset, as well as exclusive trips to Hauser & Wirth in London and other galleries.
