FRIEZE SCULPTURE

‘Dreams and Salt’ (2025 – 2026) by Angel Otero features a plywood door embedded in the earth at an angle, left slightly ajar to reveal a short staircase leading downward. Familiar but dislocated, the door is removed from its functional role, becoming an object marked by psychological and spatial ambiguity. It functions as an ambiguous threshold that could be both an entrance or exit.

On view at The Regent’s Park until 1 November 2026.
