The gallery partnered with María Berrío on this special fundraising edition created in collaboration with renowned printshop Harlan & Weaver. The edition’s proceeds will directly support the work of non-profit organizations Art into Acres, Art Switch and Artists Commit encouraging sector-wide action on climate.

Titled ‘Dance of The Umwelt,’ the work takes its name from a concept introduced by early 20th-century biologist Jakob von Uexküll, describing how each living being experiences the world in its own way. While human perception is limited to our five senses, many other forms of perception exist beyond what we can see or feel. Berrío’s edition reflects on these unseen realities, encouraging a broader awareness of the natural world and our place within it.

Marking five years of collaboration between our artists and the non-profit organization Art into Acres, the gallery partnered with British artist Catherine Goodman on a special fundraising. Continuing the deep-rooted tradition linking printmaking and environmental activism, Goodman is introducing a series of 18 unique hand-painted lithographs entitled ‘Stay Awake’. 100% of the proceeds will go towards Art into Acres’ land conservation initiatives.

Conceived as part of Catherine Goodman’s ongoing practice of drawing from film, an integral part of her creative life for over 15 years, ‘Stay Awake’ is derived from a still from the Ingmar Bergman film ‘Persona’ (1966). The image depicts the lead character, Elizabet Vogel, played by Norwegian actress Liv Ullmann, staring directly into the camera, meeting the viewer head on with an expression of tenacious determination. Goodman stated that the image of Ullmann, unflinching in her gaze, ‘is about being attentive and vigilant, staying awake to the climate crisis.’

Angel Otero created this limited edition print release titled ‘Lucky Rain.’ ‘The idea of the goldfish falling connects to my family and my memories, but also to the idea of unexpected abundance,’ says the artist. ‘A rain of fish may be a fantastical event, but we can move fish from one place to another to feed people.’

100% of proceeds will benefit Art to Acres and The Ricky Martin Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to become a leading voice that achieves progress in upholding the human rights of children around the world.

This limited edition benefit print from Los Angeles based artist Gary Simmons features the artist’s iconic shooting stars, a multivalent symbol that conjures the ephemerality of dreams, hopes and desires. 100% of sales proceeds benefit Art to Acres.
