Celebrated American conceptual artist Glenn Ligon presents ‘Black Moons,’ his first solo exhibition in South Korea, with support from Hauser & Wirth at the Amorepacific Headquarters. At APMA Cabinet, the presentation pairs the artist’s monochromatic moon jars, which directly engage with Korean craft heritage, with landmark text-based paintings from his Static and Redacted series, offering a profound reflection on, in Ligon’s words, ‘the things that can be said and the things that cannot be said, or the things that are difficult to say, or that remain opaque despite a desire to be clear and explain…’

On the heels of George Condo’s internationally acclaimed 2025 career survey at Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris a five-decade immersion described by the Financial Times as ‘accentuating not just Condo’s sustained virtuosity, but his diverse forms of expression, techniques, recurring invented characters and art historical allusions’. Hauser & Wirth has announced it will present two major exhibitions in 2027 with the renowned American artist in its Paris and Palo Alto locations. Featuring new and historical works, this pair of exhibitions will continue the gallery’s history of important solo shows with George Condo held in New York, Los Angeles and London.

NOWNESS Summer Film Festival at Hauser & Wirth Menorca

This summer, Hauser & Wirth Menorca and NOWNESS will present a festival of short films over five evenings in July and August. The program will span art & photography, nature & gardens, design & architecture, and dance & fashion. Each evening’s screening features up to an hour of short films that premiered on global video channel Nowness. The festival will provide a unique opportunity to revisit these diverse films in the context of the art centre and current exhibition, ‘Directionless’, investigating how art making and storytelling can provide new points of navigation and inspiration in a time of uncertainty.

The 19.3-acre campus will include a museum, public library, fruit and vegetable garden, athletic center, programming facilities and expansive outdoor spaces designed to welcome everyone, from local neighbors to visitors from around the world.

The Residency at Casa Gràcia is a new program conceived to provide artists and writers the dedicated time and private space to further their practices in the historic city of Mahon in Menorca, Spain. Founded and developed by artists Rashid Johnson and Sheree Hovsepian, the program offers artists a retreat—residencies are self-directed without obligation to produce an outcome or public presentation—and encourages creative development and deep reflection, while fostering meaningful engagement with the local community on the island. Conceived as an incubator for ideas and cross-disciplinary dialogue, the Residency at Casa Gràcia seeks to foster an environment for creative exchange. Artists and writers from the Balearic Islands, mainland Spain, and around the world are encouraged to apply.

On the occasion of ‘Allison Katz. Outta the Bag,’ on view at Hauser & Wirth New York, Wooster Street, and as part of Hauser & Wirth’s ongoing learning initiatives, artist Allison Katz collaborated with 18 sophomore graphic design students from Chelsea Career and Technical Education (CTE) High School, a partner of The Drawing Center. In partnership with Manuela and the NYC-based art and urban farming non-profit, Project EATS, students created a community-based poster campaign that was wheatpasted around the SoHo neighborhood and installed on Manuela's facade.

This year’s Education Lab, ‘Bitacora,’ at Hauser & Wirth Menorca is developed in collaboration with the University of the Balearic Islands and the University of Barcelona. The student-led program nurtures national connectivity between the universities, exploring what learning looks like beyond an institutional setting and facilitating a launchpad for creating, sharing and collaborative research. Responding to the themes of the group exhibition ‘Directionless,’ the Education Lab echoes the very concept set by Rashid Johnson, to find new creative pathways and orientations through artistic practice.
