This winter 2025, Chesa Marchetta will open in Sils Maria, Switzerland, the second hotel opened by Artfarm, following the Fife Arms in Braemar, Scotland in 2019. Recognized as the cultural center of the Engadin, Sils Maria has inspired world famous writers, philosophers, artists and musicians, including Friedrich Nietzsche, Marcel Proust, Alberto Giacometti, Thomas Mann, Hermann Hesse, Marc Chagall and William Faulkner, due to both its breathtaking surroundings and magical quality of light.

CIRCA PIPELINE: Frank Bowling Gives Free Art Supplies to London Students

CIRCA and Sir Frank Bowling OBE RA inaugurate the first phase of the CIRCA PIPELINE, working in partnership with Findel Education to deliver free art materials to 32 state primary schools across London and enabling 7,152 children to take part in a six week arts course inspired by the artist. The moment was marked with a presentation of the students’ paintings on Piccadilly Lights, giving thousands of young people their first public exhibition in one of the most visible cultural spaces in the world.

Since 2020, the art center has engaged more than 23,000 learners and 338 school groups, involving more than 6,400 students and collaborating with more than 50 local and national entities. In 2025 alone we have welcomed 72,000 and produced 460 events in partnership with a range of Menorcan cultural organisations and institutions, welcoming new and existing partners back to the island.

On view were solo exhibitions by Mika Rottenberg and Cindy Sherman; a dedicated presentation of Eduardo Chillida’s work; an outdoor sculpture trail featuring works by Phyllida Barlow, Eduardo Chillida, Gary Simmons and David Zink Yi; and the Education Lab ‘Play Your Part,’ inspired by the exhibitions.
