The gallery is delighted to be rejoining Bruton High Street with the reopening of Stockwell House—a shared space for creative exchange, collaboration and experimentation. Guided by Hauser & Wirth, it supports independent projects, research and exhibitions, fostering new ideas and connections within the wider community.

On the occasion of ‘Allison Katz. Outta the Bag,’ on view at Hauser & Wirth New York, Wooster Street, and as part of Hauser & Wirth’s ongoing learning initiatives, artist Allison Katz collaborated with 18 sophomore graphic design students from Chelsea Career and Technical Education (CTE) High School, a partner of The Drawing Center. In partnership with Manuela NY and the NYC-based art and urban farming non-profit, Project EATS, students created a community-based poster campaign that will be wheatpasted around the SoHo neighborhood.

On the occasion of Frank Bowling’s June 2026 solo exhibition ‘Like Water’, Hauser & Wirth Learning continues its partnership with The Bridge+, a Hong Kong-based social enterprise, to deliver a day of creative workshops inspired by Frank Bowling, for children and their families in Sham Shui Po.

This year’s Education Lab, ‘Bitacora,’ at Hauser & Wirth Menorca is developed in collaboration with the University of the Balearic Islands and the University of Barcelona. The student-led program nurtures national connectivity between the universities, exploring what learning looks like beyond an institutional setting and facilitating a launchpad for creating, sharing and collaborative research. Responding to the themes of the group exhibition ‘Directionless,’ the Education Lab echoes the very concept set by Rashid Johnson, to find new creative pathways and orientations through artistic practice.

On Saturday, 2 May 2026, the Learning Exchange: Artists Matter traveled to Downtown Los Angeles. The gathering focused on the ways artists can contribute to building mentorship pathways, strengthening community partnerships and expanding access to the arts for young people—an ethos that has long guided the gallery’s Learning initiatives. The event followed the gallery’s inaugural Learning Exchange in New York in 2023, and in Somerset in 2024.

The Learning Exchange is part of the gallery’s active learning programs—creating a dialogue between art, artists and a diverse audience with a focus on first-hand experience. This 2026 iteration marked Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles’ 10th anniversary of learning programs and partnerships, supporting access to contemporary art and artists. This has been achieved via deep-rooted relationships in the Downtown Arts District, growing alongside its neighborhood, welcoming nearly two million visitors and engaging more than 120,000 learners through tours, workshops and partnerships.

Hauser & Wirth is proud to be partnering with arts organizations UCL Slade School of Fine Art (London, UK), Drawing Room (London, UK), Gray’s School of Art (Aberdeen, UK), Royal Drawing School (London, UK) and Whitechapel Gallery (London, UK) over the next three years.

The ‘Education Lab: Echoes’ accompanies the exhibition, ‘Angel Otero. Agua Salada,’ at Hauser & Wirth Somerset and explores how memory shapes who we are.

Hauser & Wirth and Spike Island are delighted to announce Joe Lyward as the recipient of the second Engagement Fellowship for South West-based Curators 2026 – 2027.

On the occasion of ‘Glenn Ligon. late at night, early in the morning, at noon,’ on view at Hauser & Wirth New York, 18th Street, and as part of the gallery’s ongoing learning initiatives, artist Glenn Ligon collaborated with participants from Artistic Noise, an organization committed to enriching the lives of system-impacted youth through art making.

Following an open call by ZHdK – Zurich University of the Arts, MA and BA students, as well as mid-career academic staff and junior researchers from the Department of Fine Arts, responded to KOO JEONG A's exhibition ‘KANGSE X’ in a performative presentation. The event brought together an incredible mix of young people, students, and friends, with roughly 180 participants joining us for an inspiring evening.

We are proud to announce a three-year partnership with Robert Gordon University and Gray’s School of Art to support free Mobile Art School workshops in rural communities across North East Scotland. Launched on Thursday 12 March 2026, the Mobile Art School joined forces with artist Thomas J Price and Braemar School for creative workshops at St. Margaret’s Church, culminating in an exhibition at Braemar Kirk.

On the occasion of ‘Destiny Is a Rose: The Eileen Harris Norton Collection’ exhibition, on view at Hauser & Wirth Downtown Los Angeles, ‘Art in Community: From Studio to Collection,’ our new Education Lab, is inspired by Harris Norton’s visionary approach to collecting. Rooted in her long-standing relationships with artists, curators and communities, the collection reflects a lifetime of philanthropy, advocacy and educational support.
