Charlotte Spencer ‘Walking Stories’ Immersive Audio Walks

  • Sat 26 June 2021
  • 11.30 am – 5 pm

Following the public opening of ‘Eduardo Chillida’, Hauser & Wirth Somerset will host a day of immersive outdoor performance in collaboration with Charlotte Spencer Projects. Critically acclaimed 'Walking Stories' is an intricately designed group audio experience for outdoor spaces, coming to Durslade Farm for the first time this summer. You don't come to watch Walking Stories: you live it, breathe it, build and dismantle it.  Supplied with an mp3 player and headphones, a walk in the park amongst open-air sculptures becomes an interactive and absorbing audio journey. Moving between watching, listening and following instructions, Walking Stories takes you on a journey with yourself and your companions. Following the past year of separation and isolation, ‘Walking Stories’ helps us celebrate being together again. - Recommended age: 7+ - All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. - Maximum of 20 participants per walk. - We aim to make this event as inclusive and accessible as possible. Please get in touch in advance if you have any access needs so that we can find the best way to accommodate you. - Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Sessions will take place at 11.30 am, 1.30 pm and 4 pm for 1 hour. Please reserve a free place using the link here and read our Visitor Guide before arriving.
