Hedgerow Christmas Garlands

  • Fri 18 December 2015 – Sun 18 December 2016
  • 10 am – 4 pm

Get in the festive spirit at our one-day workshop with local florist, Georgie Newbery and learn how to create your own Hedgerow Christmas Garlands with fresh willow and hedgerow bounty. Georgie will start the day by showing you how to make your willow wreath and then continue to take you through the stages of dressing it with a beautiful hedgerow garland. The garland transforms the wreath into a Christmas decoration and when you remove it after Christmas you will be left with a willow circle which you can have hanging in your house all year round. In the afternoon Georgie will demonstrate how to make a candle-lit Christmas table centre, and you can then make your own version of the same to take home alongside your garland. Georgie Newbery and her husband Fabrizio Boccha run Common Farm Flowers, an artisan flower company growing British cut flowers on their beautiful plot between Bruton and Wincanton in Somerset. All materials will be provided and no previous experience is necessary. This event is now fully booked.
