In September the Oudolf Field is at its most glorious. To celebrate Hauser & Wirth Somerset presents Field Studies: a series of live performances in the garden’s Radić Pavilion. The second event of our series, original beat poet Michael Horovitz headlines a night of spoken word. 50 years ago saw the International Poetry Incarnation, when Ginsberg and Horovitz performed to a sold-out audience at the Royal Albert Hall. Alongside his own writing, Michael Horovitz has published work by Samuel Beckett and William Burroughs, collaborated with musicians as diverse as Damon Albarn and Paul Weller and has sat for a portrait by David Hockney. Joining Horovitz is his current collaborator in performance Vanessa Vie. John Osborne will also perform; he writes poems, books and scripts. His first book Radio Head was broadcast as Radio 4’s Book of the Week. He has written and performed in six half hour shows for Radio 4 and the sitcom After Hours he created was broadcast by Sky 1 in Autumn 2015. He is a regular at festivals including Latitude, Glastonbury and Bestival. Tickets are £6 The pavilion is partially exposed to the elements, please wear appropriate clothing
