Printmaking Workshop: Winter Landscapes

  • Fri 1 December 2017
  • 10 am – 4 pm

This one-day workshop exploring printmaking provides you with the perfect space to practice new techniques inspired by the exhibition ‘Josephsohn / Märkli. A Conjunction’ and to produce wonderful cards to send this Christmas. In this workshop you will learn to use a combination of mono printing, nature printing and lino cut printing techniques to make layered composite images, creating motifs that express your own idea of Winter or Christmas, for example, a winter landscape or images of the home, inspired by Markli’s drawings. These prints can then be used to make your own Christmas cards. The workshop is led by Penny Grist, printmaking lecturer at Bath Spa University. She has exhibited her prints in many exhibitions, especially in the South West and has recently returned from an Erasmus exchange to Stockholm, where she worked in the printmaking studios at The Royal Institute of Art. Tickets are £90, and includes lunch in the Roth Bar & Grill.
