Combating the Spread of Covid-19: Updates to Our Temporary Gallery Closures

11 March 2020

Our Hong Kong and Zurich galleries are now open

Dear Friends, In response to the latest developments with COVID-19, and in an effort to do what is best for our own team and our local communities in the many places we operate worldwide, Hauser & Wirth is taking proactive measures in each of our locations. Hauser & Wirth’s locations in New York at West 22nd Street and East 69th Street, Los Angeles, London, Somerset, St. Moritz and Gstaad are temporarily closed to the general public.

Public programming has also been suspended in these locations for the time being. Our space in Hong Kong is open by appointment only. Hauser & Wirth has also halted all global and transcontinental travel by its partners, directors, and staff. We have implemented a working from home policy for our team to minimize exposure. With such precautions, we hope to contribute in concrete ways to the wider effort to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Hauser & Wirth is committed to remaining operational. But we also believe it is our responsibility to take real action to protect the wellbeing of our own people and our fellow citizens during this time. We will continue to evaluate the situation and respond accordingly as we know more, and we will update you as the situation changes. Our website will continue to be updated with additional details as they become available.

We wish all of you good health. We have no doubt a silver lining will reveal itself. In the meantime, work continues apace! We’d be thrilled to hear from you and are very much available for calls and conversation. It is our firm belief that art makes a positive difference at all times and in all circumstances. We look forward to re-opening our doors again soon and seeing you at the gallery. With best regards, Manuela, Iwan, and Marc
