Jorge Carrión, Spanish writer and cultural critic, will lead a writing workshop as part of our collaboration with Trobades & Premis Mediterranis Albert Camus 2025. 

Participants will be invited to focus on their own autofiction pieces, which they can then share with the group to exchange ideas and discuss the role of fiction in Sherman’s oeuvre.

About Jorge Carrión 
Jorge Carrión is a writer and cultural critic. He directs the Master’s Degree in Literary Creation at UPF-BSM and regularly contributes to La Vanguardia. He was a columnist for seven years for the New York Times and the Washington Post. He is the author of the novels ‘Las huellas’, ‘Membrana’ and ‘Todos los museos son novelas de ciencia ficción’; and of the narrative essays ‘Australia. Un Viaje’, ‘Teleshakespeare’, ‘Bookshops,’ ‘Barcelona. Libro de los pasajes,’ ‘Contra Amazon’ and ‘Lo Viral’. Carrión has also created the podcasts ‘Solaris’, ‘Ecos’ and ‘Gemelos digitales’; the documentary series ‘Booklovers’; and scripts for several graphic novels and art exhibitions. He has won the Ondas Prize, the Ciudad de Barbastro Novel Prize, the Ciudad de Badajoz Journalism Prize, the Zenda Innovation Prize and the Serra d’Or Critics’ Prize. His work, published by Galaxia Gutenberg, has been translated into fifteen languages.
