Make Opening reception: ‘west lands’

  • Fri 5 April 2019
  • 6 – 8 pm

Please join us to celebrate the opening of 'west lands'. The exhibition celebrates the work of seven makers who are based in, or have a strong connection with, the South West. Whether working with locally sourced willow, ash wood or sheep’s fleece, materials from the region have been incorporated into many of the works on show. Equally, an exploration of place, environment and landscape have been a source of inspiration.

The exhibition features work by: Anthony Bryant, wood sculptor; Hilary Burns, basket weaver; Stephanie Buttle, ceramicist; Jonty Sale, photographer; Caroline Sharp, wood and clay sculptor; Joanna Still, ceramicist and Bristol Weaving Mill, textile weavers.

This is a free, drop-in event. All welcome.

This event takes place from 6 – 8 pm at Make Hauser & Wirth Somerset, 13 High Street, Bruton, Somerset BA10 0AB.
