The exhibition ‘Revolution in the Making: Abstract Sculpture by Women, 1947 – 2016,’ re-examines sculpture and studio practices by women artists. In collaboration with online magazine East of Borneo’s ‘Unforgetting LA’ Wikipedia series, we invite participants to address the oversight of influential work by women via a communal updating of Wikipedia’s entries. Schedule of events: 11 am: Exhibition tour with Head of Education Aandrea Stang 12 pm and 2 pm: Wikipedia tutorials for beginners Drop by anytime 11 am – 5 pm with your laptop, power adapter, and any reference materials you would like to work from or share. Beginners are encouraged to attend. There will be training sessions at 12 pm and 2 pm to take you step-by-step through the process of editing and creating Wikipedia articles. Anyone can edit Wikipedia but not everyone does. Studies show that fewer than 13% of Wikipedia contributors identify as female and 75% are under the age of 30. This event is free, but reservation is required. Click here to reserve a place.
