Basket Weaving Workshop

Join designer and weaver Nanette Sullano for an introductory pine needle basketry workshop using a traditional coiling technique. Each weaver will learn to start a coil and shape a basket with locally-foraged pine needles by using the swirling stitch with sustainably-grown cotton yarn. The process is to gather in circle, share stories, and weave your own tale into a vessel that can hold small objects. The coiling technique learned can be used as a foundation to weave with other plant materials and fibers. All materials and tools will be supplied for the workshop. This event is now full.
