This Fall, the Learning team was thrilled to invite three Hauser & Wirth artists to participate in ‘Art Work’ mentorship programs across our New York and Los Angeles locations. Launched in 2014, ‘Art Work’ is an artist-led initiative serving young people aged 16+ who are eager to explore creative career opportunities. The global program highlights practical pathways into arts professions and cultivates confidence that empowers our next generation to forge meaningful connections and broaden their aspirations for the future.

Art at The Audley and Mount St. Restaurant in London

On the corner of Mayfair’s Mount Street and South Audley Street, The Audley Public House and Mount St. Restaurant have opened their doors. This major restoration project by Artfarm has resulted in a new London pub and fine dining restaurant unlike any others, featuring an array of artist interventions and artworks woven throughout their interiors. Formerly operating as pub with rooms for staff, the listed building was first a hotel, built in 1888 and designed by Thomas Verity, the man responsible for the exterior of the pavilion at Lord’s Cricket Ground.

Don McCullin (b. 1935) is an internationally acclaimed photographer with over 60 years of experience documenting the world’s devastating wars and its harrowing humanitarian disasters, as well as photographing the lives of people from the industrial north of England and the homeless of east London. Undimmed by age, McCullin remains an energetic and compassionate chronicler of our world. Ahead of McCullin's retrospective exhibition at Tate Britain, Simon Grant, editor of Tate Etc., visited him at his home in the Somerset countryside to hear the story of his extraordinary life.
