An Education Lab Coinciding with Jason Rhoades’ Exhibition ‘DRIVE’

14 May 2024

In celebration of Jason Rhoades’ exhibition in Los Angeles the Education Lab will host ‘Going Forward with No Brakes,’ an interactive space and series of programs throughout the duration of the exhibition for visitors to consider the significance of car culture in Los Angeles. For Rhoades, cars played an important role in the California artist’s work: as readymade sculptural objects, and as imaginative spaces in which to break, conceptualize, create and converse with others. In the Education Lab, visitors will have access to a curated film and books about cars and transportation and space to respond to the materials and document their own relationships to vehicles.
