Hauser & Wirth Menorca has concluded its fourth season on Illa del Rei, welcoming over 76,000 visitors from Saturday 11 May to Sunday 27 October 2024—the highest attendance since the gallery’s opening in 2021. On view were solo exhibitions by Eduardo Chillida and Roni Horn; an outdoor sculpture trail featuring works by Stefan Brüggemann, Eduardo Chillida, Pipilotti Rist and Gary Simmons; and an Education Lab, ‘An Invitation to Look,’ inspired by Chillida’s practice.

A virtual reality tour of ‘Roni Horn’ at Hauser & Wirth Hong Kong. The exhibition brings together works on paper, photography, installation and sculpture, including a selection that comprises over 30 works created between 1983 and 2018, chosen and curated by the artist.

In Iceland, you can see the contours of the mountains wherever you go, and the swell of the hills, and always beyond that, the horizon. And there’s this strange thing: you’re never sort of hidden; you always feel exposed in that landscape. But it makes it very beautiful as well. Roni Horn (b. 1955) has visited Iceland regularly since 1975. ‘Iceland taught me to taste experience,’ she has affirmed. ‘That’s possible here, because of the intensely physical nature of experience on this island.’
