For this new body of work entitled Fake3 there exists a multitude of commercial merchandise around the globe. And for this original merchandise, a copy also exists, and then there exists a copy of the copy. An original look is lost. Yuka Hasegawa's work utilizes this merchandise, loved by the masses, as a motif and from her unique perspective, with humor and irony, outputs new values as her work.

XYZ collective
Based in Tokyo, XYZ collective is an artist run space. XYZ collective consists of a Studio space for young artists in 20s and 30s and an alternative space. XYZ is open the exhibitions with artists both in and out of XYZ, other events such as music and fashion shows. We aim the place to dispatch culture in formations deriving from art in Tokyo.
