‘The field that is known as art, is one of the rare fields where people can do crazy things.’ Martin Creed talks about art’s inherent ability to break the rules ahead of his exhibition ‘Toast’ at Hauser & Wirth London. ‘It’s truer to life because it contains all the stuff that doesn’t add up.’

Creed has become known for hugely varied work which is by turns uncompromising, entertaining, shocking and beautiful. ‘Including new sculpture, painting, drawing, tapestry, video, live action and music.

'Toast' is on view at Hauser & Wirth London until 9 February 2019.
