Getting to Know: Mika Rottenberg

4 August 2025

On the occasion of her exhibition ‘Vibrant Matter’ at our Menorca gallery, artist Mika Rottenberg met a group of 6 to 7 year old students from Es Migjorn Gran. The school group visited the gallery to explore Rottenberg’s works and participate in a question-and-answer session based on their own curiosities. In addition, the artist accompanied them to the Education Lab, where they created their own sculptures using recycled plastics similar to those Rottenberg uses in her ‘Lampshares.’

The film was produced in collaboration with CEIP Francesc d’Albranca, one of the infant and primary schools most actively engaged with Hauser & Wirth artists, working on our exhibitions each year.
