Announcing Our New Learning Partnerships

As part of our Learning program, Hauser & Wirth is thrilled be to partnering with arts organizations Bold Tendencies (London, UK), Spike Island (Bristol, UK) and The New Art School Modality (New York NY). Each three-year partnership is focused on increasing access, support and expertise for professional development within the arts, as well as engaging broader communities with art and artists. These initiatives allow us to work in tandem with our partner organizations over a sustained period, adapting and developing these programs together in order to create long-term meaningful change and a positive impact.

Bringing New Art Books to Menorca’s Libraries

Since launching the partnership in 2021, with a series of workshops, screenings, talks and book donations, we are continuing to work with Menorca’s local libraries to expand their art book collection.

Susana Chillida’s ‘Una Vida Para El Arte’ Joins Menorca’s Learning Institutions

Following the presentation of Susana Chillida’s book ‘Una vida para el arte’ in Menorca, we have partnered with Escola Oficial d’Idiomes (Mahon and Ciutadella’s language schools), Escoles d’adults de Menorca (Menorcan adults education school) and Xarxa de Biblioteques de Menorca (local libraries across Menorca). The collaboration will involve the donation of Susana Chillida’s memoir in both Spanish—published by Galaxia Gutenberg—and English, released by Hauser & Wirth Publishers, to be included in their winter programs.

Our 2024 Partnership with Hospital Rooms

We are pleased to announce that our three-year initiative with Hospital Rooms has raised over £1 million to support transformative art projects in NHS mental health hospitals across the UK. Proceeds from this year’s auction will fund inspiring new Hospital Rooms projects in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Wakefield and beyond, bringing the healing power of art to more communities than ever before.

Announcing Our 2024 – 2025 Charity Partner in Somerset

Since Hauser & Wirth Somerset’s launch in 2014, the gallery has worked in partnership with 14 charitable organizations, institutions and local businesses across the South West of England. Each year, a new local charity is supported through visitor entrance donations and community events, providing a platform to promote ongoing initiatives and increase awareness to a broader audience.

William Kentridge at Art in the Park, Zurich

The 2024 edition of the Baur au Lac’s Art in the Park program will feature five bronze sculptures by artist William Kentridge, on view 10 June until 21 July 2024. Curated by Gigi Kracht, curator, collector, writer and founder of Art in the Park, Kentridge’s playful investigations in sculpture and scale will be featured alongside an indoor presentation by Martin Creed and Rita Ackermann.

Growing Our Partnership With PILAglobal

Hauser & Wirth has been a key supporter of Los Angeles-based, international non-profit, PILAglobal, over the past two years since the organization was chosen as the charitable partner for two of the gallery’s global Learning initiatives: Education Lab Menorca 2021 and Education Lab Los Angeles 2022. Hauser & Wirth has now pledged to grow its partnership with PILAglobal through a new commitment that will raise $150,000 for the organization through 2025.
