6 – 7 JULY 2024

BOOTH C6

Our booth at artmonte-carlo reflects the exceptional artistic voices that have come to define the gallery‘s diverse program. The selection includes paintings, sculptures, works on paper and more from both contemporary and modern masters.

George Condo’s new work on paper ‘Uncle Henry’ (2024) masterfully blends abstraction and figuration to create an imaginary portrait that suggests extreme psychological states. Exceptional recent works include pastels on paper straight from the studio of Catherine Goodman, teeming with energetic gestures that have long been signatures of her expressionistic landscapes, and the video installation ‘Peeping Freedom for Jina Mahsa Amini’ (2023) by Pipilotti Rist, who spotlights global women rights activists that have opened a window into a modern world. Further showstoppers include a 2016 work by Cindy Sherman in which the artist photographed herself dressed up as a ‘flapper,’ and the vibrant painting ‘Withered Roses I’ (2011) by modern master Frank Bowling, who has attracted acclaim for his contributions to abstraction.

ON VIEW IN MONACO

Larry Bell’s exhibition ‘Works from the 1970s,’ at Hauser & Wirth Monaco focuses on the artist’s architecturally scaled works from the 1970s, known as standing walls. The exhibition also features one of Bell’s recent colored glass sculptures, ‘The Blue Gate’, installed in the Jardins des Boulingrins adjacent to the gallery.
