Our Summer Fete returns to Hauser & Wirth Somerset. Join us for a day of art, food, live music and family-friendly activities celebrating our unique community, local businesses and our charity partners.
The site-wide festivities will include:
Stalls from businesses on Bruton High Street and the surrounding area featuring Flaunt Collective, Foraged Bruton, Fruitbat Textiles, Pennard, People Will Always Need Plates, Rags of Colts, Rose & Lyons, Smouk, WellnessWorksWest and Wild Joy.
Information booths from our charity partners from the last 10 years, such as Black Swan Arts, Bruton Museum, BruBowl, BrueCREW, Good Company Bruton and Somerset Wildlife Trust.
Food stands from Somerset artisans and producers, championing regional produce, including Brickell’s Ice Cream, The Choux Box Patisserie, Hidden Pizza, King Fin and Lost & Grounded.
Seasonal food and drink pop-ups from Da Costa, Farm Shop and Roth Bar.
Children’s activities with Wild Joy.
Live music by Poor Old Dogs.
Explore our exhibition, ‘Niki de Saint Phalle & Jean Tinguely. Myths & Machines,’ and Education Lab, ‘Our Imaginary World,’ from 12 pm. Visitors to the Education Lab are invited to rearrange the word plaques on display to create their own affirmations as part of a communal drop-in activity.
The garden will be open from 10 am.
Farm Shop, Roth Bar and Da Costa will be open as normal. Please check their websites for more information. Reservations at Da Costa are available from 12 pm.
Tickets are free, however we encourage donations to our current charity partner, Good Company Bruton. We ask that you register in advance to help us understand visitor numbers.
There will be limited parking on site, so any visitors that walk, cycle or use public transport to the event will get a free ice-cream on arrival.
Dogs are welcome on leads in the farmyard, bookshop, Farm Shop, Da Costa and Roth Bar, but not the gallery or garden, unless they’re assistance dogs. Children must be accompanied by adults at all times.
To help make this an environmentally sustainable event, Bruton Scouts and Brownies Groups will be supporting the monitoring of our recycling stations as part of their volunteering program.
