Performance ‘Étoile en mue’ by Hector Ferrer

Sun 21 September 2025
12.15 – 12.45 pm

Spanish choreographer and dancer Hector Ferrer and dancer Kora Leiva Gnonnas will perform ‘Étoile en mue’. The site-specific performance will unfold as a moving dialogue with the works on view: starting in the main courtyard in response to the exhibitions by Mika Rottenberg and Cindy Sherman, then moving through Phyllida Barlow’s ‘PRANK: jape; 2022/23’ (2022 – 2023), and concluding around Eduardo Chillida’s ‘Saludo a los pájaros II’ (2000).

In the performance, the actress takes on the role of narrator, peeling back her layers and deconstructing her identity into multiple facets. The dancers embody processes of liberation and transformation, not by representing but by inhabiting a body freed from within, probing the plasticity of identity through the gaze, from and towards the body.

Original concept by Hetor Ferrer. Interpretation and choreography by Hetor Ferrer and Kora Leiva Gnonnas. In collaboration with 78i Dansa.

Although this event is free to attend, please book your tickets in advance here.
