  • 10 – 10 am

25 - 30 Aug 2018 Hauser & Wirth Somerset is delighted to be taking part in its second Architectural Summer School, organised in collaboration with Drawing Matter, Kingston University and Bruton School for Girls, with support from the Royal Fine Art Commission Trust. This is a unique opportunity for 30 A-Level students who have an interest in studying architecture to learn more about the subject at a fully funded week-long summer school. Andrew Clancy, Professor of Architecture at Kingston, will lead the lectures, along with a team of tutors and experts from Queens University Belfast and Reading University. Applications to take part were submitted in May 2018 and the school will run from 25 – 30 August. The 30 successful applicants will receive bed and board in the facilities of Bruton School for Girls, and will work in the town of Bruton, liaising intensively with educational staff at Hauser & Wirth Somerset. During the week students will be exposed to conversations and exercises set by many of the leading thinkers in architectural education today. A concluding exhibition and lunch will take place at Hauser & Wirth Somerset on 30 August.
