Join us to celebrate the opening of ‘Lost Energy: Cycles’—an exhibition and series of creative workshops exploring the fundamental truth that energy is never lost only transferred, renewed and reimagined at Stockwell House by Bruton-based artist and educator George Cole.

Rooted in the rhythms of historic waterways, industrial mills and modern hydropower, this multimedia showcase visualises kinetic and natural forces through dynamic mobiles, wire armatures, light projections, and collaborative animation.

The exhibition brings together a group of creative contributors:

  • James Alfred Hart: Abstract painter and artist, James captures the raw energy and movement of the natural world with bold imagination and striking palettes.

  • David Ryle: Renowned photographer, David brings a painterly, documentary eye to the project. His imagery captures the subtle intersections of kinetic energy, industrial heritage, and the natural landscape.

  • Cal Bain: Motion designer and director. Cal’s contribution of a split-screen video edit mimicking the push and pull of invisible flow of energy.

  • Selina Ogilvy: Multidisciplinary artist providing creative and curatorial support to the project.

Join us for an evening of complimentary drinks, conversation and after-hours access to the work.

The exhibition is on view from 26 October – 1 November 2026.
