Da Costa Dinner: Elisheva Goldberg

Join us for an immersive dining experience at Da Costa bringing together art, food, farming and flowers in celebration of ceramicist Elisheva Goldberg.

Born from a moment of inspiration during a residency in Somerset, this one-night-only ceramic installation will transform every place setting at the table. Each dish, bowl and vessel has been hand-painted by Goldberg, with floral motifs influenced by the Durslade Estate’s gardens and Northern Italian character of Da Costa’s menu.

The evening will begin with a stroll through Oudolf Field, Piet Oudolf’s celebrated perennial garden at Hauser & Wirth Somerset, followed by a glass of Gusbourne English sparkling wine and selection of canapés, before guests are welcomed into Da Costa. Surrounded by an abundance of flowers and ceramics, guests will gather for a four-course seasonal feast created by Da Costa Culinary Director Ben Orpwood. Sourcing ingredients exclusively from Durslade Farm, the menu will showcase the best of Somerset in summer—from fresh cheeses to squash and tomatoes grown in Da Costa’s Walled Garden.

For the occasion Da Costa Head Gardener Fran Wood will cultivate hundreds of additional blooms, bringing the garden indoors to create a spectacular tablescape. Flowers will spill across tables and windowsills, flowering amongst the ceramic works they helped inspire, blurring the boundaries between garden, gallery and dining room.

Tickets cost £65 per person, which includes the welcome drink, canapés and four-course dinner. Additional drinks, including a wine pairing, can be purchased throughout the evening. A non-alcoholic alternative will be available for the welcome drink.

The ceramics featured during the dinner will be available to purchase on the evening. Purchased works can be collected from Hauser & Wirth Somerset or shipped within one week of the event at the buyer’s cost.
