The dedicated Education Team lead tours of the galleries, outdoor sculpture and garden and use both formal and informal teaching methods to engage their audience and provide stimulus for learning across the curriculum.

We joined curator Hannah Higham of the Henry Moore Foundation, Mary Moore, the artist’s daughter and Neil Wilkin, curator of ‘The World of Stonehenge’ exhibition at the British Museum for a conversation celebrating ‘Henry Moore. Sharing Form.’ Moderated by writer and journalist Alastair Sooke, the talk discusses Moore’s seminal visit to Stonehenge in 1921 and its continued influence, as well as the exhibition’s themes addressing the power of form and our relationship between art and the human experience.

Celebrating the release of the new publication from Laurence King, ‘Philip Guston: A Life Spent Painting,’ Hauser & Wirth hosted a live conversation with the monograph’s author, Robert Storr, and celebrated artists Carroll Dunham, Mark Thomas Gibson, Amy Sillman, and moderated by Alexi Worth.

On 4 February 2017, LA artist Richard Jackson, whose work seeks to extend the potential of paint through performative processes, engaged in a conversation with Italian conceptual artist Piero Golia, whose interest in the possibilities of theater contributed to the discourse of Jackson’s expressive painterly practice.

On the occasion of the exhibition ‘August Sander. Men Without Masks’ at Hauser & Wirth London, this panel discussion explores the work and legacy of the late German photographer.  Over the course of a career spanning six decades and tens of thousands of negatives, August Sander created a nuanced sociological portrait of Germany comprising images of its populace, as well as its urban settings and dramatic landscapes.

On the occasion of ‘Charles Gaines. Palm Trees and Other Works,’ at Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles in 2019, LA-based conceptual artist Charles Gaines conducted a ten-part lecture series on the tenets of aesthetics and critical theory in art, bringing his mastery of the field into a public setting. This lecture series offered the public a chance to hear the artist discuss topics that are normally reserved for his classes at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), where he is on the faculty.
