This year at Basel, Hauser & Wirth presents voices past and present that have defined art history. With an emphasis on exceptional modern and contemporary works, our presentation traverses a century of artistic invention, from Cubism to some of the most urgent artistic voices of today.
Highlights include works by Philip Guston, Pablo Picasso, Juan Gris, Louise Bourgeois, Alina Szapocznikow, Robert Delaunay, Martin Kippenberger, Maria Lassnig, Francis Picabia, Bruce Nauman and Joan Mitchell, alongside works by Rashid Johnson, Amy Sherald, Nicole Eisenman, Jenny Holzer, Lorna Simpson, Nicolas Party and Jeffrey Gibson.

Gallery President Marc Payot discusses Philip Guston’s ‘Double Portrait’ (1969)
Special projects across the fair include Isa Genzken, Bruce Nauman and George Rouy at Unlimited, and a new commission for Nairy Baghramian alongside recognition for Jenny Holzer. Avery Singer’s work will be on view as part of Art Basel’s digital initiative Zero 10.
In Switzerland, our Basel gallery presents an exhibition dedicated to Max Beckmann, while Pierre Huyghe’s major solo exhibition opens at the Fondation Beyeler. Zurich Art Weekend coincides with exhibitions by Avery Singer, James Jarvaise & Henry Taylor and Alina Szapocznikow.
