This included a Study Day on Monday 28 April 2025 at the gallery, as well as workshops for school pupils from wider Paris regions.

Getting to Know: Angel Otero

On the occasion of his first exhibition ‘That First Rain in May’ at our West Hollywood gallery, artist Angel Otero met with students from Inner-City Arts to discuss his newest composition of work. Through a labor-intensive process of oil painting on plexiglass, then scraping the applied medium into ‘skins’ which he subsequently collages with wet paint onto canvas, Otero has developed a signature mode of expressive storytelling. The artist’s unique approach allows for an active exchange with the medium, inviting chance and unpredictability into his practice.
