Hauser & Wirth is set to launch a film project in collaboration with Arthouse cinemas in Zurich this March. A special programme open to the public will feature films by and documentaries on artists and artistic movements, including a selection connected to the gallery programme. Featured artists include: Ida Applebroog, Louise Bourgeois, Pipilotti Rist and Wilhelm Sasnal.
Screenings will take place throughout 2017 at the Arthouse Piccadilly 1 cinema. The inaugural screening is on Friday 3 March 2017 with ‘The Sun, the Sun Blinded Me’ by Anka & Wilhelm Sasnal. Four of the films featured as part of the programme are being screened in Switzerland for the first time – ‘Manifesto’, ‘Without Gorky’, ‘Call Her Applebroog’ and ‘Hockney’.
