On the occasion of ‘Keith Tyson. BIG DATA (PAINTINGS 2012 – 2018)’, please join us for a talk and exhibition walkthrough with the artist.
Keith Tyson will discuss the inspirations behind ‘BIG DATA’, his varied approaches towards painting, and his ongoing exploration of interconnectivity, universal experiences and the effect of data consumption.
Keith Tyson was born in 1969 in Ulverston, England, and lives and works between Sussex and London, England. Tyson attended the Carlisle College of Art, England, and received his MA in Alternative Practice from the University of Brighton, England in 1993. Tyson became the 18th recipient of the Turner Prize in 2002. Tyson’s work is held in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York NY; Los Angeles Contemporary Museum of Art, Los Angeles CA; Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, France; Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Humlebæk, Denmark; and the South London Gallery Collection, London, England, amongst others.
