About Gang Gang Dance
Gang Gang Dance stands as one of 21st-century New York’s most enduring and creatively vibrant musical acts. Formed in the early-2000s milieu which incubated fellow experimentalists Animal Collective and Black Dice, core members Lizzi Bougatsos, Brian Degraw, and Josh Diamond have released four acclaimed full-length records, and frequently toured the world during their fifteen-plus year run.
Their work has increasingly blurred boundaries between the oft-insulated music and art worlds, and has lead to their inclusion at a range of events ranging from the Whitney Biennial to Coachella.
Their past three albums – God’s Money (2005), Saint Dymphna (2008), and Eye Contact (2011) – are particularly beloved for their distinctive songwriting and production, which bends genre by fusing musical ideas both underground and international.
Fall 2017 shows mark their return to the stage after a five year hiatus.
