    Hauser & Wirth Somerset Invigilators are part of the front of house team, responsible for offering an informative and welcoming experience for visitors, acting as ambassadors of the gallery. The role is offered as casual position with variable days.

    Main duties

    • To assist with maintaining the very high standards of customer service required in the Gallery
    • Providing information to visitors about current exhibitions, events, the history of Durslade Farm, the architecture, the garden and all aspects of the gallery programme
    • To attend relevant meetings, training and exhibition walkthroughs where required
    • Maintaining security of the artwork and safety of all visitors
    • To keep a record of visitor attendance and capture evaluative information
    • Maintaining a tidy and well-presented gallery
    • Managing visitor’s use of the space – including prohibiting drinking, eating, photographing artwork (when appropriate)
    • Working on weekends and during events and private views

    Person specification

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Highly motivated and enthusiastic with an interest in contemporary art

    We are looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join our team. The role is based in London.


    Print

    • Design and oversee production of project-based print materials, including prospecting packs, corporate reports, announcement cards, leaflets and other ephemera,
    • Work with external designers and design material in-house from concept, through art working and production, to finished product
    • Liaise with printers and other production companies

    Ad hoc Design and Print Projects

    • Design dinner invitations, menus, events’ flyers, booklets, posters, tote bags etc., adhering to the gallery’s corporate identity guidelines
    • Design and print materials in support of Hauser & Wirth Publishers and related programs
    • Create assets related to exhibition and way-finding signage, including digital screen templates, vinyl graphics and rub downs

    This internship will be a full-time six-month position at Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles.

    During your time here, you will be assigned a broad range of tasks that ensure you gain an understanding of how a large international gallery like Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles operates. Interns will work closely with the gallery assistants. These responsibilities could include assisting with the execution of private views, organizing events and sending mail outs in addition to daily administrative duties.

    An ideal candidate for this internship is required to be fluent in English, have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and be organized with an ability to prioritize. A successful candidate will be an energetic self-starter with a poised and friendly demeanor. An interest in art and the art world is key. Familiarity with Mac OS is a must as well as proficiency with all Adobe CS6 programs.

    The internship will start immediately and last for the duration of six months.

    An internship at Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles is a 35-hour per week position.

    Hauser & Wirth is one of the world’s leading contemporary art galleries with offices in Zurich, Gstaad, London, Somerset, New York and Los Angeles. Hauser & Wirth New York is seeking a highly motivated Communications Intern to join our New York team. This position requires great attention to detail, organization and diplomacy.

    During the six month internship, the Communications Intern will be assigned a broad range of tasks that ensure an understanding of how a large international gallery operates. This position will work closely with the Communications Manager and gallery assistants. Responsibilities include assisting with the execution of press previews and public programs, updating and managing exhibition documents, organizing events and sending mail outs in addition to daily administrative duties.

    Responsibilities

    We are looking for a Communications Intern to join our team in Los Angeles. During your six-month internship, you will be assigned a broad range of tasks that ensure you gain an understanding of how a large international gallery like Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles operates.     Responsibilities

    Marking and Communications

    • Utilize InDesign to create exhibition-related printed material and information packs for artists and gallery projects

    Public Relations

    Database Developer / Project Manager (100 %)

    Main responsibilities:

    As Database Developer:

    • Continue developing our long-standing, bespoke in-house 4D database to our needs.
    • Document the business processes supported by the 4D database.
    • Maintain and enhance connectivity with external solutions (e.g. digital asset management, email marketing platform).
    • Support and help train our employees

    As Project Manager:

    • Manage projects connecting to the 4D database to various systems (webapps, iOS apps, ERP systems)
    • Supervise project progress and ensure timely delivery of individual contributions

    Profile:

    • Experience developing in an IDE with languages such as Visual Basic (VBA), Pascal, or C and with relational databases (e.g. MySQL).
    • Experience developing in 4D is a plus.
