Feria de Madrid
Hauser & Wirth is delighted to announce participation in ARCOmadrid with a curated presentation inspired by the saying: ‘Those who dance are thought to be insane by those who cannot not hear the music’.
The presentation spotlights the gallery’s artists, including works by Geta Brătescu, Louise Bourgeois, Stefan Brüggemann, Martin Creed, Philip Guston, Paul McCarthy, Fausto Melotti, Djordje Ozbolt, Lygia Pape, Pipilotti Rist, Dieter Roth, David Smith, Lorna Simpson and Philippe Vandenberg.
A centre-point is Dan Graham’s ‘Pavilion For Showing Rock Videos/Films (Design I)’, a work which combines Graham’s diverse interests in architecture, perception and the ethos of the counter-cultures of rock and punk music. Other highlights include a selection of three works by Eduardo Chillida, featuring ‘Lurra M-35 (Hommage to Bach)’ (1996), and a series of six works by Ida Applebroog.
