    • Erstellen von Manuals
    • Kurierdienste
    • Inventur der Kunstwerke
    • Leihverkehr, inkl. Verträge, Versicherungen und Zustandsberichte
    • Erstellen von Kommissionsverträgen
    • Organisation und Durchführung von Ausstellungsauf- und –abbauten, sowie Messen in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Techniker Team
    • Mithilfe bei der Vorbereitung von Kunsttransporten
    • Auslieferungen und Installationen von Kunstgegenständen

    Für diese Tätigkeit bringen Sie folgende Eigenschaften mit:

    • Abgeschlossene Ausbildung oder Studium
    • Mehrjährige Erfahrung im Galerien- oder Museumsbereich als Registrar
    • Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
    • Erfahrung in Projektleitung und Ausstellungsorganisation
    • Gute Computerkenntnisse
    • Führerausweis (Kat. B)

  • Director of Operations

    Based in our London gallery and reporting to the Group Chief Operating Officer, we require an experienced, flexible and hands-on Director of Operations, working in a highly successful and prestigious world-class organisation.

    Main responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

    • Responsible for overall coordination of Hauser & Wirth’s gallery activities and activities at other related sites and locations in the UK, in close collaboration with Senior Directors, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
    • Coaching and managing of all direct reports, including performance reviews.
    • Overseeing workload and processes, enhancing workflow where appropriate, in collaboration with the Global Handling Director.
    • Managing cost controls and budgets, overseeing shipping, storage and staffing costs.
    • Organising and preparing weekly meetings with gallery staff.
    • Liaising between presidents, directors and all internal staff in London and Somerset.
    • Ensuring that clear roles, responsibilities and processes are in place, in close collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer.
    • All day-to-day operations of the facilities at the London gallery and related UK sites including maintenance, utilities, security, etc.
    • Responsible for Health & Safety, including risk assessment, method statements, PAT testing and training for staff on fire procedures.

    The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:

    • Minimum of 10 years experience in similarly-sized organisation, ideally with some international exposure.
    • Minimum of 5 years experience at Director level having responsibility for Operations within the art world.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge and experience in organisational effectiveness, operational management and implementation of best practices.
    • Demonstrable leadership and vision for managing staff, major projects or initiatives.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.

  • Events Coordinator

Its ethos sits at the very heart of Hauser & Wirth as a place where art can successfully merge with many other subject matters of importance to us; architecture, education, community, landscape, food and farming and opens the doors for creative ideas and collaborations.

    We are looking for a highly experienced and organised person to join the enthusiastic and active Somerset team as an Events Coordinator to work within the gallery and for associated projects.

    You will be responsible for initiating and organising a range of events at Hauser & Wirth Somerset and beyond.

    Main duties and responsibilities:

    The role will include, but not be limited to the following responsibilities:

    • To organise and lead the development of a new arts festival
    • To initiate and organise arts and cultural events for a range of audiences working alongside the Head of Education
    • To develop relationships with stakeholders and liaise with advisors regarding themes, priorities and diaries.
    • Organise staffing for events and manage teams effectively
    • Implement ticketing systems
    • Manage budgets, process invoices etc.
    • Develop relationships with sponsors
    • Organise and coordinate multiple venues
    • Develop marketing and PR campaigns for events
    • To ensure all events are well documented
    • To ensure that all enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner and to a high standard
    • Actively keep stakeholders informed and generate an annual review/report
    • To ensure Health & Safety standards, public liability and policies are developed and adhered to
    • As an events manager, ensure legal obligations and the expectations set out in our policies are met, including health & safety, equality & diversity, finance, procurement, information security and managing people

    Required knowledge, skills and qualifications:

    • Bachelors or advance degree preferred
    • At least 3 years relevant experience in event management

    We are seeking an Editor to join our team in New York to develop the concept and content of a list of titles together with artists and estates, curators and other parties, taking ideas from their initial stages through editing and production to the finished book object.

    The role will include, but not be limited to the following responsibilities:


    • Set publication standards in collaboration with the Editorial Director and establish goals and expectations
    • Oversee layout (artwork, design, photography) and check content for accuracy and errors
    • Editing and Proofreading

    • Oversee development, design and built up of HWP bookstore.
    • Generate ideas for store’s book presentations.
    • Connecting HWP with New York and the rest of the US, staying up to date with local events and activities of our competitors,
    • Promote and suggest initiatives around HWP activities such as talks, book signings and other book-related events in collaboration with Marketing & PR Department.
    • Be an advocate for HWP’s books to the marketing and PR department, and built up distribution in the US.
    • Responsible for US Art book fairs, including booth design, attendance etc.

    Required knowledge, skills and qualifications:

    • At least 5 years working experience as an editor or managing editor in a publishing house
    • Academic background, preferably in Art History, Bachelor’s degree
    • Strong writing/editing/proofreading skills and an excellent portfolio
    • Good IT skills with MS Office and InDesign, Photoshop or other publishing tools
    • Excellent written skills in English, additional languages are a plus
    • An eye for detail along with critical thinking

  • Art Handler

    The position requires extensive experience in fine art handling. The art handler will be expected to primarily manage large-scale international projects related to a specific artist. The art handler also is expected to properly install, pack and transport a wide range of different types of artworks. The art handler is expected to plan, communicate and act independently and collaboratively as the projects require.

    Main Tasks: Duties include but are not limited to:
    Project Manage large-scale installations related to a specific artist as well as general New York day-to-day activities related to:

    • Internal exhibitions
    • Art fairs
    • External installations
    • Showroom activities in the gallery & offices
    • Deliveries to clients / institutions
    • Communication with Artist Studio and internal Hauser & Wirth team

    As needed also support Registrars with:

    • Artwork deliveries to clients
    • Internal shipments between New York – Zurich – London – Los Angeles
    • The compilation of manuals and condition reports
    • The organisation of framing of artworks
    • In-house and external photography
    • The storage of artworks internally, at our warehouse and other 3rd party locations


    • A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in art handling, preferably in an art gallery
    • Experience working within a company structure
    • Extensive knowledge of fine art logistics (shipping, handling, packing and storage)
    • In-depth knowledge of various materials and techniques
    • Tuesday – Saturday 5 day work week, with overtime requirements during installation and project periods
    • Excellent communication and problem solving skills

    Based in our Somerset gallery we are looking for an enthusiastic, pro-active, organised and personable individual to join us as an Intern.

    Hauser & Wirth Somerset is a pioneering world-class gallery and multi-purpose arts centre, which acts as a destination for experiencing art, architecture and the remarkable Somerset landscape through new and innovative exhibitions of contemporary art. Centred around a core belief in conservation, education and sustainability, Hauser & Wirth Somerset offers a wide variety of special events including talks, seminars, workshops and screenings, as well as an extensive learning programme for local schools, young people and families. Hauser & Wirth Somerset supports an immersive artist-in-residence programme, encouraging artists to benefit from the idyllic surroundings and to integrate with the local community. The centre also provides resources including a bookshop and dedicated learning room.

    An internship at Hauser & Wirth Somerset is a full-time position undertaken for a period of six months. During this time you will be assigned a broad range of tasks that ensure you gain an understanding of how Hauser & Wirth Somerset operates.

    Tasks will include, but not be limited to:

    • Supporting the Front of House with general gallery duties, mail outs, archiving, post and private views
    • Greeting and providing information to visitors about current exhibitions, events, the history of Durslade Farm, the architecture, the garden and all aspects of the gallery
    • Supervising the gallery and public spaces, ensuring they are presented to the highest standards at all times
    • Assisting with the development, installation and delivery of exhibitions and events
    • Assisting with the running of the gallery bookshop, making sure it is presented to the highest standard at all times

    • A graduate of either a BA or MA in Fine Art, Art History or a related subject, or equivalent experience
