    Based in our London gallery, we are looking for a highly motivated Press & Media Officer. Reporting to the Head of Press & Media, we are seeking a communications professional to join the global press team, working in a highly successful and prestigious world-class organisation.

    The role, which is full time, will include, but not be limited to the following responsibilities:

    • Prepare and distribute press images and PR information
    • Respond to incoming image requests
    • Contribute to social media campaign planning
    • Research and write copy for promotional material
    • Proofread written material
    • Use InDesign to create exhibition-related printed material and information packs for artists and gallery projects
    • Maintain and update press mailing lists
    • Maintain the press archive and circulate press cuttings
    • Assign and oversee tasks allocated to the press intern
    • Lead on editorial coordination and production of the in-house quarterly magazine
    • Assist with Hauser & Wirth Somerset press campaigns as required
    • Ad hoc administrative tasks as required

    The successful candidate will have:


    • Ability to manage own time and workload and cope well under pressure
    • Meticulous attention to detail
    • Proven skills in copy editing and proofreading
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop
    • Excellent computer literacy (preferably with experience of basic HTML and email marketing applications such as Campaign Monitor and Direct Mail)
    • Confidence in speaking to journalists and handling image requests
    • Awareness of global arts media
    • A creative approach
    • Desire to pursue a career in arts communications
    • At least two years’ experience in an arts organisation


    • Experience of print production
    • Background in a commercial gallery / arts PR agency
    • Qualification in PR / Communications
