    For our New York Gallery operations we are looking for a

    Sales Director

    Based in our New York Gallery we are looking for an experienced sales person to join the team working in a highly successful and prestigious world class organization.

    The role, which is full time, will include, but not be limited to the following responsibilities:

    • Drive sales for Gallery artists on the primary and secondary market and constantly seek ways to enhance sales and profitability
    • Assist with the development, and implement, the Gallery’s sales strategy in the primary and secondary markets
    • Work closely with selected artists to assist in the development of their international profile within institutions and museums
    • Bring new client relationships to the Gallery while maintaining established relationships in collaboration with the sales team in all locations
    • Represent the Gallery at designated art fairs and events
    • Represent the Gallery and strive to enhance and build upon the Gallery’s reputation at all times

    The successful candidate will have:

    • At least five years experience of working in the commercial galleries environment and/or auction houses
    • Track record of meeting substantial sales targets and introducing new clients
    • Experience of working with artists
    • An excellent knowledge of modern and contemporary art with a strong academic qualification
    • Excellent communication and people skills

    Compensation package, including incentives dependent on experience and performance.
