- 'Phyllida Barlow: siege'
-
For her first solo exhibition in New York, Barlow presents ‘siege’ at the New Museum. Inspired by everyday objects and the chaos of the urban environment, Barlow experiments with inexpensive, low-grade materials such as scrim and cement to create large-scale, anti-monumental sculptures. Barlow’s installations fill the entire floor of the museum, actively obstructing the viewer’s path through the space.
